Ph.D. student, Weizmann Institute of Science. Advisor: Prof. Adi Shamir.
Researches security of cryptographic systems.
Sample research interests:
- Special-purpose hardware for attacking cryptosystems (e.g., the TWIRL integer factorization device).
- Side-channel attacks (e.g., acoustic cryptanalysis and cryptanalysis of CPU caches).
Survived the bubble startup trenches, with only
minor permanent damage due to close exposure to 3D graphics and
GIS. Sysop of Northern Castle BBS (currently running at 0MHz on a
backup CD). Serves his duty to society as syadmin of several free
websites (Haayal Hakore,
Fisheye, ISFSF&F) and by occasional
contributions to open source projects.
ObCoolGadget: I say, if it can't serve
as a lethal weapon, it's not worth typing on. And who needs those
pesky key symbols anyway? My main keyboard is a custom-made
buckling spring beauty, forged from the fabric of night during the
Age of Startups by the grand masters of Unicomp, holders of the
Sacred Patents of the IBM Model M. It bears the color of a black
holes, the briskness of novas and the heft of neutron stars. Which
explains why it sounds like a Geiger counter. Pure joy.
