Kinnernet 2006 begins on March 30th. On March 28th the general elections in Israel will take place. A lot of my energy in the two months before Kinnernet will be dedicated to the elections.
I have decided that instead of writing about what should have
been done with the Internet during those elections, I will
try to do myself. I am taking a leave without pay from my work at
Shatil and create a website that will try to help the Avoda
(labour) party in the elections. I will try to make the internet a
means for political activism. The website is at politi.org.il
Since the results of any elections are unknown, I have no idea in what state of mind I will come to Kinnernet.
When I write this, January 14th, I am not sure what exactly are my goals and expectations for Kinnernet. I think I would like to discuss what benefits Open Source can give to non-techie users and organizations.
I will bring my handheld
20Q toy that can guess what you think of.
